In 2006, Tommy Roland, a drummer living in Columbia, Maryland decided to put together a talented, "no drama" band.  Eleven years later the current configuration is still more than a dream.

 

This exciting, energetic, seven-piece group, One Flight Up, specializes in fun, popular and upbeat dance music, covering multiple generations and genres. "OFU" is a unique blend of sweet vocals and strong instrumentation with a kickin' groove that is sure to WOW you and get cha up on yur feet.

 

Whether Rock, Funk, Soul R&B or Jazz is your bag, One Flight Up is the perfect band for corporate parties, dance parties, fund raisers, reunions, festivals grand openings, main stage events, weddings, Christmas parties, New Year's parties, you name it.

 

Over the years, One Flight Up has allowed each one of the band members to bring their influences and taste in music into the band’s music. Anything they are influenced by naturally comes out in what they’re trying to do. Stirring together old-school funk and jazz, laced with rock power chords and a few hip-hop beats, OFU keeps pushing the envelope exploring new territory.
